Detailed Technical Information, Compliance & Performance Data
Supplied as injectors, control panel and ozone monitor. The EXM400 is configured as two 20 g/hr injectors. Discharge monitor factory set at 0.05 ppm, adjustable down to 0.025 ppm. Monitor cabinet 200L x 150W x 95H, weatherproof, detection level adjustable to meet local guidelines. Duct connection 100mm circular. Electrical supply 240V, 1-ph, 5A per injector.
Understanding System Performance in Real Applications
How it's works
Control starts inside the duct. A variable air pressure switch in the control panel samples extract pressure through a 6 mm tube and holds the air-to-ozone ratio as the cooking load changes. Concentration stays high enough to break down the odour compounds without running the injectors harder than the airflow needs.
The second stage sits at the end of the extract. An ozone monitor reads the unused ozone at the discharge, and production is reduced once that reading meets the setpoint. The setpoint is adjustable, so discharge can be matched to what the site and local conditions require.
Ozone is generated by corona discharge from ambient air. The discharge splits oxygen molecules into single atoms, and those atoms bind to other oxygen molecules to form ozone. It is injected into the canopy plenum or the first length of duct, where it oxidises the compounds carrying the cooking odour, so the smell does not reappear further down the extract.

- Notes
on
Application
Discharge held within permitted ozone levels, with concentration read continuously at the discharge point
Output controlled from both the air pressure switch and the ozone monitor, so dosing follows the cooking load rather than a fixed setting
Holds the correct ozone concentration across airflows from 0.9 to 7.2 m³/s (3,240 to 25,920 m³/h)
Ozone injected at the earliest point in the system, which keeps dwell times low
Delivered to multiple points to suit the system (plenum, duct before or after the fan, inline with filtration), with further injectors added without redesign
Power drawn only when injection is called for, which keeps running costs low

Is the EXM200 or EXM400 suitable for my type of commercial kitchen?
It is the range to specify where the discharge is the problem: a city-centre site, a flat above the kitchen, a neighbour who has complained, or a consent with an odour condition attached. Up to 1.9 m3/s takes the EXM200 and up to 3.8 m3/s takes the EXM400. Above that, more injectors run from a single panel
Can the EXM200 or EXM400 be used in non-kitchen environments such as factories or industrial premises?
What problems does the EXM200 or EXM400 solve?
Will the EXM200 or EXM400 help with planning approval or environmental health requirements?
Do you work with local authorities, consultants and contractors?
